If you’re 16 or older and enjoy science, these opportunities are for you:
Floor
Experience the day-to-day of the museum! Assist guests, answer questions, and clean exhibit areas. Exhibit areas and activities need to be “reset” throughout the day, and thoroughly picked up at the end of each shift. Floor volunteers can commit to morning (10am-2pm) or afternoon (1pm-5pm) shifts, or all day (with a 30 minute lunch break).
Work with teachers and campers in all day-long (Spring Break) or week-long (Summer) camps. Monitor children, assist with activities, clean up, serve snacks, etc. Summer camp volunteers commit to being at camp for a full week (5 days) from 9:30am-4:30pm.
Assist staff members with special events (such as Founder’s Day), exhibit openings, or projects (such as Science Saturdays). Special events times vary.
Help make Founder’s Day a success! We need volunteers for setup and teardown, assisting with activities, managing traffic flow, and keeping the event space clean. Volunteers must be 16 or older.
Love science and enjoy engaging with people? Volunteer to run a science demonstration cart for a few hours one Saturday a month! No experience needed—just enthusiasm for STEM. Volunteers must be 16 or older. To learn more, email Bradley Lindsey at [email protected]
